Crispy Air Fryer Jicama Fries

Ingredients
  

  • 1 large jicama 1.5 lbs
  • tbsp olive oil or avocado oil
  • ½ tsp sea salt
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch or arrowroot powder optional

Method
 

  1. Peel jicama and slice into ¼-inch fries.
  2. Boil in salted water for 10 minutes.
  3. Drain and pat completely dry.
  4. Toss with cornstarch (optional).
  5. Add oil and seasonings. Mix well.
  6. Preheat air fryer to 400°F.
  7. Arrange fries in single layer.
  8. Cook 15–20 minutes, shaking halfway.
  9. Add extra 3–5 minutes for crispier texture.
  10. Serve immediately.

  • Boiling is mandatory for tender texture.
  • Dry thoroughly before seasoning.
  • Avoid overcrowding basket.
